夜色直播appsigns MoU with Tunisian agency

Date: July 31 - 2024

夜色直播apphas signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Tunisian Agency for Evaluation and Accreditation in Higher Education and Scientific Research (ATEA). ATEA was established in 2022 and is responsible for evaluating and accrediting institutions, programmes and research units.

The MoU outlines several key areas of collaboration, including supporting the development of UK-Tunisia university partnerships, and supporting ATEA with building capacity in quality assurance and accreditation.

The partnership was developed following QAA’s attendance at the 7th meeting of the Tunisia-UK Commission for Higher Education and Scientific Research in Tunis in April 2024. The 2-day event was organised by the British Embassy in Tunis and hosted by His Majesty’s Ambassador to Tunisia, Her Excellency Helen Winterton, and His Excellency Professor Moncef Boukthir, Tunisian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The April event featured updates from the four sub-committees of the joint commission, focusing on:

  • higher education and quality assurance
  • scientific research; mobility of students, researchers and staff
  • employment and innovation.

夜色直播appalso had the opportunity to participate in visits to the University of Manouba, the Engineering School of Manouba and Tunis Business School.

This is the latest step in QAA’s collaborative work with Tunisia. In 2019 the British Council and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Tunisia engaged us on a range of projects, including field research to explore the key challenges in quality in the Tunisian HE sector.

Piers Wall, QAA’s Head of International Membership Services and TNE, said: “It was a great experience to participate in the latest Tunisia-UK Commission for Higher Education and Scientific Research. We are delighted to have now signed the MoU with ATEA, and look forward to working closely together to support the Commission with achieving its aims and furthering UK-Tunisia higher education collaboration.”
